Christian Science denies that the incarnation of Christ was the fullness of deity dwelling in human flesh, denies the perfection of the man Jesus, and attempts to explain away the historical death and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ (Science and Health, pp. , 29, , 53, , , ; Miscellaneous Writings, p. ) Christian Science. The founder of Christian Science is Mrs. Mary Baker Eddy. Here also a woman was the founder. Women have contributed a great deal to the founding of new movements. THE BOOK. The position of Christian Science is most fully set forth in the book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures (S&H). It was written by Mrs. Eddy herself.

Adherents are commonly known as Christian Scientists or students of Christian Science, and the church is sometimes informally known as the Christian Science church. It originated in 19th-century New England with Mary Baker Eddy, who argued in her book Science and Health that sickness can be healed by prayer.   Thus, a Christian worldview provides a framework for ethical thinking. We recognize that humans, who are made in God’s image, are essentially moral beings. We also recognize that the fullest embodiment of good, love, holiness, grace, and truth is in Jesus Christ (see John –18). A Christian worldview has implications for understanding.
